Kristen Turner

Ceramic artist Kristen Turner is interested in not just the function of a piece but also it’s textural and compositional qualities. To create her jewelry and button bowls, she uses antique buttons originally used by her seamstress great-grandmother to carefully craft each piece. She also hand builds vessels and wall decorations. Each piece is individually made of porcelain, making no two exactly alike. Kristen Turner has a background in art education and now resides in Baltimore, MD.
